Privacy Notice

This notice explains what Finite Dating collects, why we use it, who receives it, and the choices available to you.

Who this covers

This notice covers the Finite Dating iOS app, finite.dating, our restaurant partner site, and related support channels. Finite Dating is intended only for people aged 18 or older. Contact our privacy lead at privacy@finite.dating.

Information we collect

  • Account data such as your Google or Apple account identifier, name, email address, profile image, session, IP address, device, and security records. If you choose Telegram verification, we also store Telegram's stable account ID, your current username when available, and the verification result; we do not receive your Telegram message history.
  • Profile and matching data, including age, relationship preferences, profile answers, photos, verification claims, and the area in which you want to date.
  • Match, availability, date-plan, venue, payment, refund, feedback, support, block, and report records.
  • Chat messages and delivery metadata. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted and may be processed for delivery, safety, moderation, and reports.
  • If you choose to connect Google Calendar, the OAuth grant and busy time ranges returned by Google. The free/busy permission does not provide event titles, descriptions, locations, or attendee lists.
  • If a verification flow is offered, the evidence, review result, and provider metadata described in the just-in-time notice shown before collection.
  • For restaurant partners, business, venue, availability, offer, and contact information submitted in an application or portal.

We receive information directly from you, from a matched member, and from providers you choose to use, such as Google, Apple, payment, verification, email, hosting, and restaurant partners.

Why we use it

We use personal data to create and secure accounts; operate profiles, matching, chat, verification, date planning, venues, payments, and support; prevent fraud and abuse; investigate safety reports; improve service reliability; and meet legal obligations. We do not use Google Calendar data or chat content to train general-purpose AI models. We do not use Calendar availability to choose your matches or advertise to you.

Google Calendar data and permissions

Calendar connection is optional and is requested separately when you use scheduling. Finite requests only calendar.freebusy access to suggest possible date times. Existing event content is not shown to a match or restaurant. You may continue without connecting and can disconnect later in Settings. Disconnecting stops future checks; confirmed Finite date records follow the retention periods below.

Finite Dating's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who receives information

We use service providers for database, storage, authentication, email, payments, security, support, and reviewed model processing. A restaurant receives only information necessary to arrange the date you chose. A matched person receives profile and date information intentionally shared through the product. Safety reviewers and authorities may receive necessary information for a report, incident, or legal requirement. Restaurants do not receive your Calendar data, chat history, or verification evidence.

International processing

Some information is processed outside Singapore. Our current managed Postgres region is in Australia, and other providers may process data in their documented locations. We require overseas recipients to provide protection comparable to the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act through legally enforceable obligations and appropriate safeguards.

We isolate a case-specific legal or safety hold from ordinary product access and delete or de-identify information when its purpose and legal or business need have ended.

Your choices and requests

You may request access or correction, withdraw a consent, disconnect Calendar, opt out of marketing, or initiate account deletion. Withdrawal may stop the related optional feature. Use in-app Settings when available or email privacy@finite.dating. We may need to verify the request. If we cannot complete an access or correction response within 30 days, we will tell you when to expect it.

Safeguards and changes

We use access controls, encrypted transport and storage, database row isolation, restricted service boundaries, access auditing, and incident procedures to reduce risk. No service can promise absolute security. We will post changes here and seek renewed agreement or consent where a material change requires it.
